Field notes & the toolkit
A designed journey
Eleven chapters, from Toronto’s waterfront to a last deployment by the Bay. Shape labels show what to do: jump over blocks and missing tiles; duck under hanging hazards. Build momentum to slide; standing still gives you a crouch. Pickups bring test cover, recovery, review points or focus.
On a collision, you get a brief protected recovery. Checkpoints restore a heart. A retry restores your checkpoint score, so the same pickup cannot be farmed for points. Fictional robots charge before releasing data pulses: watch the cue, then jump, duck or wait. Wildlife and background transit are never hazards.
A quieter route
Route planner uses the same hazards, chapters, checkpoints and trophy without scrolling or timing pressure. Read each obstacle, then choose Jump or Slide. It is selected automatically for reduced-motion preferences. Its local best score is separate.
Tool badges identify technologies from this portfolio. Their in-game effects are fictional kit bonuses, not claims about those products. The Bay trains and Toronto streetcars are original, locally inspired artwork with no transit-agency affiliation.
Character adapted from the site’s existing Dev artwork, originally “Feeling proud” by Katerina Limpitsouni / unDraw. Scenery, hazards, trophy and sound design are original to this game. Technology artwork credits.
