# Dev Run flags and signage

Canada: official National Flag of Canada artwork, Canadian Heritage, downloaded 2026-10-02 from https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/pch/images/services/flag-canada/drapeaunational-nationalflagCanada.zip . Official PNG resampled to 400 × 200 for this small in-game flag; the artwork, 2:1 proportions and eleven-point leaf are preserved. Reference: https://www.canada.ca/en/canadian-heritage/services/flag-canada-description.html . No flag texture mirroring or invented maple-leaf shape.

United States: code-authored vector following Executive Order 10834 standard proportions: 1:1.9, thirteen equal stripes, union 7/13 high and .76 flag-heights wide, fifty five-point stars in nine alternating six/five rows. References: https://www.archives.gov/federal-register/codification/executive-order/10834.html and https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/USCODE-2022-title4/html/USCODE-2022-title4-chap1-sec1.htm . Kept as an SVG to retain the actual star field at small sizes.

Billboards: original fictional Dev Run messages dominate. A minority of toolkit spotlights reuse the already sourced technology artwork in `/assets/brands/NOTICE.txt`; marks identify tools, not building occupants, employer affiliations, sponsorship or endorsement. No new third-party technology logo downloads were introduced. No physical address or claimed company office is attached to a fictional building.

Landmarks, lights, city life, scenery, signs, platforms and ceremony callbacks are code-authored stylizations. CN Tower lighting is artistic; no real-world historical lighting schedule is claimed.

## Toolkit billboard register

| Mark | Existing file | Official/project source and guidance | Use |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Python | `/assets/brands/technologies/icon-python.svg` | https://www.python.org/community/logos/ | Occasional TOOLKIT SPOTLIGHT panel; proportions and colors preserved |
| React | `/assets/brands/technologies/icon-react.svg` | https://github.com/reactjs/react.dev/tree/8c68ae8d2410abe59f351195780c6f8ea9f50904/public/images/brand ; CC BY 4.0 | Occasional TOOLKIT SPOTLIGHT panel, attribution retained in existing NOTICE |
| Git | `/assets/brands/technologies/icon-git.svg` | https://git-scm.com/community/logos ; Jason Long, CC BY 3.0 | Occasional TOOLKIT SPOTLIGHT panel, attribution retained in existing NOTICE |

The six fictional rotating sign messages dominate. Only every fourth billboard can show a toolkit mark, during one of its three eight-second phases (roughly one-twelfth of panel time). All other panels remain fictional. Flags are decoded to small reusable textures before cloth-strip rendering so SVG source-coordinate differences cannot crop away stripes or stars.

## Pass 23.7 living world
All new transit, wildlife, support structures and fictional robot drawings are original canvas/vector code. No BART/TTC marks or real AI-company names/mascots appear. No affiliation or endorsement implied.

First-party visual/engineering references consulted October 2, 2026:

- BART, Fleet FAQ: https://www.bart.gov/about/projects/cars/faq — traditional blue exterior cues.

These establish design references, not a claim of current schedules or exact geography. Official mark permission was not sought because no official marks are used.
